What's different about gymnastics at Prep Academy?
We have a 1,200 square foot facility that we use to hold our gymnastics classes in that is set up by the instructor each day before class specifically for class that day. The reason behind this is that in our facility there is still plenty of room to learn and play, but not so much room that children get easily distracted. We will have all the necessary gymnastics equipment, just in a more focused and distraction-free setting.

Walk'n and Roll'n Gymnastics (ages 1-3)
Walk’n & Roll’n is a fun 45-minute parent-and-me style gymnastics class designed for little movers! With a parent or trusted adult by their side, students will enjoy creative movement activities, explore beginner gymnastics skills, and build coordination, balance, body awareness, and confidence through play. It’s the perfect introduction to gymnastics in a fun, encouraging environment!
Gymnastics (ages 3-5)
This is an entry-level class for boys and girls . Students will learn fundamental gymnastics skills while learning important social skills that will help them in preschool and other outside social activities. Each class will incorporate a theme such as Directions, Numbers, and Character Traits to increase the learning environment and structure of the class. Skills include: front rolls, back rolls, handstands, cartwheels, balancing, running, swinging on the bars and air awareness on the trampoline.
Acrobatics Skills and Tricks (ages 5-12)
Acro is a dance form that teaches tricks that are executed on a dance floor. Acro classes incorporate elements of tumbling, balance, strength, flexibility and cardio. When you incorporate all of these things into a good technical foundation, your child will learn how to do tricks like handstands, cartwheels, front and back walkovers, and later on advanced tricks, to use in her dance choreography. Dancers work on their flexibility and strength before attempting their tricks with experienced and qualified spotters. Basic tricks such as Splits, Backbends, Rolls and Cartwheels are introduced almost immediately after obtaining the proper strength for support.
Preschool Cheer (ages 4-5)
A fun and energetic 45 minute introduction to cheer for our preschool athletes! Cheerleaders will learn beginner motions, jumps, chants, and basic tumbling skills while building confidence, coordination, listening skills, and teamwork in a positive and playful environment.
Elementary Cheer (ages 5-8)
An upbeat cheer class perfect for elementary-age cheerleaders! Students will learn motions, jumps, beginner stunts, tumbling basics, and fun cheer routines while building confidence, coordination, teamwork, and performance skills in an encouraging environment.
Cheer (Ages 9-14)
A high-energy cheer class focused on motions, jumps, stunts, tumbling skills, and performance quality. Cheerleaders will build confidence, strength, teamwork, and leadership skills while learning exciting routines in a fun and encouraging environment. This class is also a great way to build skills that can help prepare athletes interested in middle school cheer.
