Mandatory Virtual Recital Parent/Guardian Meeting:  Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 @ 6:30pm OR Friday, May 10th, 2024 @ 11:00 a.m. 
Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, May 25, 2024 @ 11 a.m. at the Paramount Theatre 352 Cypress St, Abilene, TX 79601
Recital: Sunday, May 26, 2024 @ 2 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre 352 Cypress St, Abilene, TX 79601

Costume Info:
Costumes: 
  • NEW THIS YEAR: Pick up & Try on in studio! You will be notified via email a week in advance when your child’s costume pick up and try on day is for their class.
  • Missing items will be marked on the costume bag and will be distributed to you once it is received by the studio. 
  • You will be emailed a checklist for all attire needed from head to toe for the performance.  
  • All students will need a NEW pair of skin tone colored tights if their costume is a skirt or shorts for all classes except ballet. Ballet classes will need light pink tights. 
  • Underwear is not to be worn. Underwear lines are easily seen on stage with the bright lights.
  • For dancers who need to wear a bra, please make sure you are wearing one that will not show under your costume. No bra straps showing!
  • The only jewelry allowed is stud earrings during rehearsal and recital.
  • Please do not wear your costume into the facility. You will change in your designated changing room. 

Hair & Make Up:
   **Makeup is required. The bright lights on the stage wash out all your child’s features. The makeup enhances them so we can see their faces better.**
  • Preschool & Elementary:  Please have hair curled and pulled half up or in an updo. Head pieces will go on the right side of their head. For their make-up, have them wear either red or pink lipstick, red/pink blush, blue eyeshadow, and mascara. Fake eyelashes are optional.  
  • Middle School & High School: Hair is specific for each class( your instructor will send out details). Makeup is to be worn heavier. Lips: red/pink lipstick appropriate for skin tone. Cheeks: red/pink blush. Eyes: darker eyeshadow( smokey eye) & mascara. Don’t forget your foundation, powder, eyeliner, & highlighter. Fake eyelashes are optional. 
  • Cheer: Hair needs to be in a high ponytail with bowtails to the front. If hair cannot physically do this please do a high half up. Please see above age groups for makeup.


Schedule:
Mandatory Virtual Meeting: Dates- May 5th & May 7th 
  • It is mandatory that a parent/guardian attends one of the dates. We will go over this packet and answer any questions you may have. If you miss out on this meeting, you will be lost on rehearsal/recital day!!!
  • You only need to attend one even if you have multiple children or are in multiple classes.
  • Google Meet links will be emailed out to you prior to the meeting dates.

Dress Rehearsal: Date- May 25, 2024, 11 a.m. 
  • Not open to the public.
  • Only 1 parent/guardian allowed. This should be the parent helping their child get dressed- please no siblings if possible.
  • Doors will open at 10 a.m.
  • Parents for children 10 and under are required to stay present at rehearsal.
  • Full hair, makeup, and costumes are required at dress rehearsal.
    • Please have hair and makeup done prior to arriving.
    • Do not wear costume into the building- change into costume onsite. 
  • Arrive no later than 10:30 a.m.
  • We will run through each dance 1-2 times in the order of performance.
  • Finale dancers will run the finale dance first. 

Day of Recital: Date- May 26, 2024, 2 p.m.
  • Doors will open an hour before showtime.
  • Full hair, makeup, and costumes are required at the recital.
  • Arrive no later than 1:30 p.m.

Finale (optional and free for ages 5+):
  • A super fun ending to our recital! Anyone ages 5+ is allowed to participate to learn the final routine for free. 
  • Dancers must be able to participate in ALL practices
  • Practices with Miss Caroline and Tailyn (will be able to take video to practice outside of scheduled practices):​
  • March 24th 6-8 p.m.
  • April 21st 5-6 p.m.
  • May 5th 6-7:30 p.m.
  • Dancers will wear the costume they performed in last.

Daddy/Daughter Dance(optional for ages 5+):
  • SIGN UP HERE!
  • A way to spend valuable time with your daughter and learn a sweet dance together that will be performed at recital. 
  • Dancers & Dads must be able to participate in ALL practices.
  • Practices with Miss Dalli and Delani  (you will be able to take video to practice outside of scheduled practices):
    • Sunday, April 28, 4-5 p.m, Sunday, May 5, 4-5 p.m and Sunday, May 19, 4-5 p.m.
  • $50/daddy daughter duo to participate 
  • Daddy/Daughter Dancers will meet backstage 30 minutes prior to their recital start time to run the dance on stage. They will not run the dance at the dress rehearsal.

Makeup & Hair:

  • Hairdressers/Makeup Artists available for Dancers/Cheerleaders on Recital Day. 
  • First Come, First Serve.

Photography:
  • Alyssa with Crosslet Photography will be taking all our pictures! 
  • Digital recital photographs will be available for purchase.
  • Costume Studio Portrait Day: Saturday, May 5th. Portrait sign up has ended.
  • You are allowed to take your own pictures/videos, just no flash photography. 
  • No phones in the air- This blocks the photographer's line of vision.

Recital Video:
  • Digital Download AND/OR Live Stream "Ticket" with IN Focus Media.
  • Live Stream will be available for family and friends who may not make it in person, but want to watch in real time.
  • $25 for digital download or live stream!
